Reception and shop counters are another one of Hansens' specialties. Hansens have engineered and manufactured a large number of reception desks and reception furniture over the years.

HSBC Tower Foyer
The eye catching entrance way features a rich combination of natural timbers, intricate design detailing, and contrasting material aesthetics.
By maintaining a close relationship with the architect, Hansens was able to manage the project right through from conception to completion ensuring the designers vision was fully captured.
The suspended ceiling feature incorporates a Rewarewa timber skeleton which framed the stainless steel perforated mesh behind.
Comprising 52 variable-shaped timber panels, the central foyer column weighs four tones and houses one of the towers structural beams. The end grain parquet flooring and curved timber wall behind make an interesting backdrop for the feature.
Kiwibank makeover
New Zealand Posts, Kiwibank makeover was a testament to the company's exceptional project management skills and flexibility. Hansens won the contract to manufacture and engineer, the furniture for the 332 nation-wide branches.
The team had four different Reception Counter facades to engineer catering for a variety of different combination set-ups throughout the country. Hansens also manufactured Feature Panels, Desks, Leaners, Managers Desks, Write-up Desks and Wall panels.
Te Papa Museum
Te Papa Museum of New Zealand has also been a major client of Hansens. Te Papa's donation collection sculpture is just one example of the innovative work the skilled team at Hansens are doing.
One of New Zealand motor sports more notable icons, the Britten motorcycle is suspended on a display plinth which was tailor-made by Hansens. The stylish base was designed to be representative of the innovation and flair synonymous with the Britten Racing Team.
The numerous "Way Finder Towers" (aptly named for finding your way) can be found on all floors of the museum were also part of Hansens contribution to Te Papa Museum.
